Sophomore Year (2017): Appeared in 10 games as a reserve defenseman and as a wing on face offs … ACC Honor Roll member for the second time … Picked up one groundball against Towson in the NCAA Quarterfinal (5/21) … Grabbed a season high two groundballs and caused one turnover in the win against Siena (2/11).
Freshman Year (2016): Played in four games for the Orange... Made collegiate debut against Siena (2/13).
2015: Redshirt Season
High School: Two-time all-league and all-section player… Competed for the Hudson Valley team at the 2013 Empire State Cup and earned all-tournament honors... Also played football for two years and led Rye to the Section I championship game as a senior.
Personal: Lazarus Gabriel Chavez... Born in June 1996 in White Plains, New York... Son of Lazarus and Donna... One brother, one sister... Information management and technology major at the School of Information Studies.
