2007-08:
Took second in both the 200 IM and the 200 fly at Colgate • Finished second in the 100 fly and fourth in the 200 IM at the Orange Invitational • Finished second in both the 50 free and 200 fly versus Boston University • Earned a pair of third-place finishes in the 100 and 200 fly at Seton Hall • Won the 100 fly and placed second in the 200 fly versus Villanova • BIG EAST Academic All-Star • Member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll both semesters.

Competed for the Chelmsford High School swim team from 2000-2004 • Spent the 2004-05 season swimming for the Choate Rosemary Hall varsity team • Posted career-best times of 21.55 in the 50 freestyle (school record) and 51.97 in the 100 fly • MIAA Division I state champion in the 50-yard freestyle (2003, 2004), the 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams (2002, 2003) and the 200 medley relay team (2004) • Named Chelmsford MVP in 2003 and 2004 • Earned Merrimack Valley All-Conference honors from 2001-04 • Selected as a Merrimack Valley All-Star swimmer from 2002-04 • Earned Merrimack Valley Conference Swimmer of the Year honors in 2003 and 2004 • Named a Lowell Sun all-star in 2002, 2003 and 2004 • Lowell Sun Swimmer of the Year in 2003 and 2004 • 2004 Boston Globe Swimmer of the Year • Earned all-scholastic honors from the Boston Globe and Boston Herald three times • 2004 NISCA Academic All-American • Earned an NISCA All-American consideration time in 2004 • 2004 USA Swimming Scholastic All-America • Received the Chelmsford Outstanding Athletic Performance Award in 2004 • Recipient of the Chelmsford Sports Boosters Club Scholarship • Member of the junior national championship team for Magnus Aquatic Group (2004, 2005) • A Top 10 swimmer for New England Swimming from 1997-present • Member of Patriot Swim Club from 1997-2003 • Member of the New England Eastern Zone Championship swim team that won in Pittsburgh in 1999, in Baltimore in the spring of 2001 and in Buffalo during the summer of 2001 • Served as captain his senior year • Made the Choate Rosemary Hall Wall of Fame in 2005 • Member of the National Honor Society.

Born February 2, 1987 in Lowell, Mass. • Son of Lynne and Mark Gollands • One brother • His father, Mark Gollands, played lacrosse at SUNY Potsdam in 1975-76 • Majoring in computer art.
