Allison Spaschak joined the Syracuse University Women’s Basketball staff as producer/videographer on Aug. 26, 2024.
Spaschak comes to Syracuse after spending the past two seasons at the University of Rochester as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. While at Rochester, she helped guide the Yellow Jackets in skill development, assisted the head coach with practice plans and execution, prepared scouting reports and created the film breakdowns for team and individual pre- and post-game review.
She coached five All-University Athletic Association players and two All-Americans while on the sidelines.
As recruiting coordinator, she oversaw all aspects of the recruiting process including unofficial and official visits and recruiting staff travel.
Spaschak handled all social media efforts for University of Rochester Women’s Basketball and used her skillset to advance the recruiting efforts on mailers for potential student-athletes.
Prior to Rochester, Spaschak was an assistant coach at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. She helped the Yellow Jackets to a 4-0 record before the COVID-19 pandemic shortened her first season on the bench. The following season, Randolph Macon posted a 20-7 record and was the ODAC Regular Season Co-Champion and reached the ODAC Championship Game in 2022. She coached three All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference players while with the Yellow Jackets.
Spaschak began her collegiate coaching career at SUNY Brockport where she helped the Golden Eagles to back-to-back SUNYAC Tournament appearances including the semifinals in 2019.
Spaschak is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and was recognized as a 30 Under 30 Award recipient in 2023. She is certified in Expert Rating Strength & Conditioning and CPR, First Aid and AED from the American Red Cross.
A 2018 graduate of Ithaca College, Spaschak was a four-year letterwinner on the women’s basketball team that made three NCAA Tournament appearances and won the 2017 Empire 8 Championship. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sports media and holds minors in sport psychology and coaching from Ithaca. In 2020, she graduated with a Master’s Degree in athletic administration from SUNY Brockport.
