Adam Reekie served on the Syracuse coaching staff for three seasons after spending two years as an assistant coach at Canisius.
Reekie helped guide He helped guide the Golden Griffins to the 2010 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) women’s soccer regular-season title and the finals of the conference tournament.
Previously, Reekie was the head women’s soccer coach at Louisburg College where he guided the Lady Hurricanes to a 29-11 record. During his tenure, he mentored the 2008 Region X Player of the Year and seven first-team all-region selections. He also served as an assistant coach for the Lock Haven women’s soccer team from 2005-2007.
In addition, Reekie has coached at camps for Major League Soccer and at the University of North Carolina. He also was a community coach for the Charlton Athletic Football Club from 2000-02.
A 2004 team captain at Canisius, Reekie played two seasons for the Golden Griffins, starting all 34 games he played in on defense and in the midfield. Prior to attending Canisius, he played two seasons at Louisburg, where he earned Student-Athlete of the Year accolades in 2003 and helped the Hurricanes to two NJCAA national tournaments.
Reekie earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2005 from Canisius and a Master's degree in liberal arts from Lock Haven University in 2007.
