Bacher, the BIG EAST preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, was a second-team all-conference selection after helping the Orangemen to their second straight BIG EAST Tournament appearance. He played every minute of the season in goal for Syracuse, recording five shutouts and a 1.33 goals against average. Bacher, the Syracuse captain, also boasted a goals against average of 0.94 in BIG EAST play. It is his first selection to the all-region team.

One of those game-winners came in the Orangemen's 1-0 upset of then No. 1-ranked, and eventual national champion, Connecticut on October 14. In addition to his first regional honor, Andrade was a second-team All-BIG EAST selection.
Aloisi was named second-team All-New York for the second time in as many seasons. The sophomore started all 19 of Syracuse's contests in 2000, and was fourth on the team in scoring with six points. He netted two goals and two assists on the season, including the first multi-point game of his career in the Orangemen's season-opener at Boston University (one goal, one assist).
The Orangemen ended the 2000 season with an 8-9-2 overall record and a 4-5-2 mark in the BIG EAST. Syracuse, which fell to Connecticut in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament, was ranked as high as 20th in the nation during the 2000 season.
