SU Tennis Loses First Match of Season to Boston College

Kabanova won her number three singles match against Emily Hellberg, 6-0, 7-5. She teamed with classmate Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA) to win the number two doubles match, 8-2, against BC's Alison Ashley and Ruta Veitas. Kabanova has the most wins at singles this season with 13 and is tied for second with 23 overall wins. Suttle posted a three-set win against Jessica Engle at number six singles. Suttle lost the first set, but rallied to win the next two, 7-5, 6-1. Suttle increased her singles record to 11-6 this season.
Syracuse returns to competition Friday, February 16 at Cornell for a 5 p.m. match. The Orange host Georgetown Sunday, February 18 at 10 a.m.
