
Former Men's Soccer Player Named to NPSL All-Rookie Team

Gervais, a two-time captain of the Orangemen, helped the Toronto ThunderHawks to a 21-19 record and a berth in the NPSL playoffs as the number-two seed in the National Conference. Gervais played in 37 of the ThunderHawks' 40 games, scoring 36 points.
A first-team All-BIG EAST selection in 1999, Gervais his career at Syracuse ranked among the top-10 scorers in school history. The native of Brossard, Quebec is sixth on the career goals list with 29, tied for seventh on the career assist ledger with 13 and tied for sixth all-time with 71 career points. Gervais was also a first-team All-New York State Region pick following his senior campaign.
Gervais graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in the spring of 1999. He went on to earn a master's degree in engineering management from Syracuse. He was named first-team Academic All-American for the 1999-2000 school year. Gervais was also the recipient of the 1999-2000 Doris Soladay Award, the highest honor given to a Syracuse student-athlete.
Gervais was drafted out of Syracuse by the Rochester Rhinos of the A-League. He played the outdoor season with the Rhinos before joining the ThunderHawks for the indoor season.
