
Orangewomen Add Player for 2003-04

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse women's basketball coach Marianna Freeman announced today that Tracy Harbut of Lexington, Ky. has signed a national letter-of-intent to play for the Orangewomen beginning next season. Harbut is currently a senior at Lexington's Bryan Station High School.
In her three years with the Defenders, Harbut, a 5-11 guard, has helped the team to a 118-30 record. She is a three-year captain, and has averaged 17.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in her first three scholastic seasons.
Harbut was a third-team all-state selection in 2002 and an honorable mention all-state performer in 2001. She is a two-time All-11th Region pick, and has been named to the 43rd District All-Tournament Team three times. Harbut also picked up all-tournament honors three times at the Kentucky State AAU Tournament (1999-2001) and the adidas Showtime National Championships in 2001.
Harbut is also active in other extracurricular activities at Bryan Station. She is currently the president of the school's student council and a member of the Renaissance Team.
