SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Syracuse women's basketball team will try and snap its season-opening four-game losing streak when it squares off with the University of San Francisco on Sunday, December 1 at 5 p.m. ET. The Orangewomen are 0-4, while the Dons are 2-2.
Syracuse opened its two-game California road trip with a 57-53 loss at Cal-Berkeley. Junior Shannon Perry led the Orangewomen with her third double-double of the season. Perry had a game-high 21 points and 11 rebounds. Junior April Jean recorded her first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard Julie McBride tied a career high with 10 assists.
San Francisco defeated Seton Hall in its last game. The Dons won last year's meeting with Syracuse in Manley Field House, 61-56.
The Orangewomen are 5-2 all-time in games played in California. SU is trying to avoid its first 0-5 start since the 1973-74 season. Syracuse has not lost five in a row since ending the 1999-2000 season on a seven-game skid.
