Orangewomen Lacrosse Earn Academic Honors

Fifteen members of the Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team were named to the SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2001 semester. A total of 240 student-athletes were named to the list, which was established in 1995 to honor student-athletes who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Seniors Fran Amasia (Fallston, MD), Jessica DeRosa (Albany, NY), and Carrie Soults (Washington, DC); junior Jessica Trombley (Keuka Park, NY) and freshman Monica Joines (White Hall, MD) were among the 125 student-athletes who earned a GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Soults is a five-time member of the honor roll, while Trombley and classmate Erin MacDonald (Syracuse, NY) have been named for the fourth time.
Amasia, Devon Baer (Norristown, PA), DeRosa, Stacey Rosati (Camillus, NY) and Jaquelyn Walker (Baldwinsville, NY) earned the award for the third time. Ellen Rust (Camillus, NY) was named to the list for the second semester.
Alile Eldridge (Tully, NY), Alexis Fermanis (Gorham, ME), Joines, Christine Ramsey (Royersford, PA), and Leigh-Ann Zimmer (Farmingdale, NY) made debut appearances on the honor roll. Fermanis, Ramsey and Joines are freshmen at Syracuse.
