
Field Hockey Signs Four Players to National Letters of Intent

The BIG EAST Conference-champion Syracuse University field hockey team has signed four recruits to National Letters of Intent. Jessica Dahle, Michelle Sola, Megan Stuart and Nikki Wojton will all enroll at Syracuse in the fall of 2002.
Dahle, a forward/midfielder, is a native of Farmington, Connecticut. She is a three-sport athlete at Farmington High School, participating in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. In 2001, Dahle served as captain of the field hockey team and scored 10 goals and three assists. For her career, she recorded 31 goals and 15 assists. A two-time all-state performer, Dahle earned Mid-Atlantic Region All-America honors this past season. Her junior olympic team won the gold medal in 1999, while her U.S.A. under-19 team won a silver medal in the 2001 Australian Youth Festival. She was named the offensive MVP of her high school team in 2000. She has appeared on the National Academic squad and the Northwest Conference All-Academic team.
Sola, also a three-sport athlete, attends Oley Valley High School. She hails from Blandon, Pennsylvania. At Oley Valley, Sola has been a four-year member of the field hockey, basketball and softball teams. Her field hockey team posted a 21-4-2 overall record this past season en route to winning the Berks County championship. In 2000, Sola's team won the state and district championships. She has been a two-time first-team all-state selection, an all-county honoree and was named the MVP of Division III, along with Player of the Year honors for Berks County. Sola excelled on the basketball court as well, where she has tallied more than 1,000 points in her career.
A native of New Holland, Pennsylvania, Stuart will graduate from Garden Spot High School this spring. In addition to playing field hockey, she has also participated in track and field where she has run distance events and been a jumper. This past fall, Stuart, a captain, was her team's leading scorer with six goals and four assists. She finished her career with 19 goals and seven assists. In 2000 and 2001, she was voted to the Lancaster/Lebanon All-Star Second Team. She participated in the 2001 National Futures Tournament, the 2001 Keystone State Games and was a member of the 2000 National Festival Championship team.
Wojton will come to Syracuse from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. As a student-athlete at Wilson High School, Wojton has been a member of the field hockey and soccer teams where she has played important defensive roles for both squads. In 2001, Wojton recorded eight goals and six assists. She finished her career with 21 goals and 16 assists and served as field hockey captain her senior year. A three-time National Futures Tournament participant, Wojton was a second-team all-state performer in 2001. A two-time All-Berks County honoree, Wojton was distinguished as the Berks Division I MVP this past season. On the soccer field, Wilson won the division and state championships with Wojton playing sweeper. She was an all-county performer in soccer and field hockey.
