SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Junior Tim Adrian (Moorpark, Calif./Moorpark) of the Syracuse University track & field team was named the ECAC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the shot put and discus at the Texas Southern Relays in Houston on March 22 and 23.

Adrian won the shot put with an effort of 53'1.50" and the discus with a throw of 169'9.00" in his first competition of the outdoor season. Both marks qualified Adrian for the BIG EAST and ECAC Championships.

Syracuse will return to Houston this weekend to participate in the Tom Tellez Invitational on Saturday, March 30. The meet will be hosted by the University of Houston.
