Syracuse (7-5) holds a 4-0 advantage in the series versus BU (4-8). The Orangewomen defeated the Terriers, 12-9, last year.
Syracuse returns home after a 13-6 loss to No. 6 Cornell in Ithaca, NY on Wednesday, April 17. Sophomore Cristine Doran (Corning, NY/Corning East) scored her first collegiate goal versus the Big Red. Junior goalkeeper Carla Gigon (Hingham, MA/Hingham) became the all-time saves leader at SU with 12 saves against Cornell. Gigon has recorded 291 saves in her career. Gigon moved ahead of Clothilde Ewing, who totaled 285 saves in her career.
Junior Kim Wayne (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) leads the team and is third in the conference with 16 goals and 28 assists. Wayne needs only two more assists to become SU?s all-time assists leader. Katrina Hable ?01 holds the record with 56. Among national leaders, Wayne is third in assists (2.45 apg), 18th in points (3.91 ppg) and tied for the second-highest point total in a single game with 10. Senior Carrie Soults (Washington, DC/Georgetown Day School) is eighth in draw controls (2.82) and 28th in goals per game (2.64).
Former Orangewomen Kara Hanover ?01 is an assistant coach for the Terriers.
