
Twenty-One SU Swimmers and Divers Earn Academic Honors

Twenty-one members of the Syracuse University swimming and diving team were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the Fall 2002 semester. The Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a semester grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Senior Jennifer Jonusaitis (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada) completed her seventh semester with at least a 3.0 grade point average. A 2001 recipient of the Pat and Bob Barlow Award for academic and athletic excellence, Jonusaitis received a 4.0 for the Fall 2002 semester.
Juniors Elyse McDonough (Delmar, NY), Melissa Plummer (Newark, DE), Stephen Polucha (Cumberland, RI), and Spencer Raymond (Idstein, Germany) made their fifth appearance on the honor roll.
Lisa Fong (Olympia, WA), Elisa James (Lakewood, WA), Gustavo Kertzscher (Skurup, Sweden), Gabrielle Lanzetta (Commack, NY), Josh Scott (Clayton, CA), and Rachel Wrede (Dover, DE) were the sophomores who earned academic honors. Fong, Kertzscher, and Wrede made their third appearance on the honor roll, while James and Scott made their second appearance and Lanzetta made her debut.
Freshmen Devon Ackroyd (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), Melissa Clune (Bainbridge Island, WA), Erin Cofiell (Glastonbury, CT), Kathryn Gold (New Carrollton, MD), Geoff Harrison (Solon, OH), Robert Persico (Fulton, MD), Dewey Schultz (Sudbury, MA), Ana Stachowiak (Yorktown Heights, NY), Lisa Wittich (St. Louis, MO), and Claire Wong (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) made their first appearance on the honor roll.
