SU Women’s Tennis Travels To Cornell For Weekend Matches

SU is riding a three-match winning streak. The Orange picked up key dual wins against BIG EAST foes Connecticut (6-1), West Virginia (4-3) and at Georgetown (7-0).
Seniors Masha Kabanova and Shervin Saedinia are leading Syracuse both on and off the court. They paired to win their No. 1 doubles match against the Hoyas last weekend, and they each won their singles matches, Kabanova at No. 2 and Saedinia at No. 3. Kabanova ranks sixth on SU’s Century Club list with 137 career victories, and Saedinia is in a three-way tie for 11th with 129 career wins. If Saedinia wins two matches this weekend she will move into the top 10. It will mark the first time since 1995 that two Orangewomen entered the top 10 on the career wins list in the same season (Erica O’Neill, 2nd, 161 wins; Sara Dickson, 8th, 135 wins).
