
Three Orangewomen Named To IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll

Trombley, an inclusive education and special education major, was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2003. A six-time member of the SU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Trombley also earned BIG EAST Academic All-Star recognition in 2001 and 2002. This season, Trombley started all 16 games in the SU midfield and finished with 12 goals and one assist for 13 points.
Walker, who is majoring in bioengineering, has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll each of her semesters at SU. She is also a two-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star. In 2003, Walker anchored the Syracuse defense, starting every game and causing a team-high 19 turnovers, as well as picking up 30 groundballs.
Erin MacDonald’s academic concentration is communication sciences and disorders. MacDonald earned a place on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll six times, and was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star twice. She played in nine games in 2003, including five starts, and scored four goals.
The Orangewomen earned their fourth straight berth in the NCAA tournament in 2003. Syracuse finished the season with a 10-5 overall record and a 5-1 mark in the BIG EAST. The Orangewomen were ranked as high as seventh in the IWLCA national poll during the season.
