Women's Tennis Boasts Highest GPA of the Year

The women's tennis team posted the highest cumulative grade point average of any varsity sport at Syracuse University during the 2002-03 academic year with a 3.383. Eight other squads achieved cumulative grade point averages better than a 3.000 during the year.
On the tennis court, head coach Mac Gifford's squad finished with a 10-8 record and a 5-2 mark in BIG EAST Conference play. Eight of the 10 student-athletes on his roster earned BIG EAST Academic All-Star recognition.
