Questions were asked and information was shared when the 2003 football Orangemen met the media at SU's annual football media day in the Carrier Dome.
The Orangemen begin the season in 26 days when they travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to face the UNC Tarheels on September 6.
SU football team will kickoff the home portion of the 2003 schedule at 1:30 p.m. on September 13, 2003, in the first of a three-game homestand. Syracuse will host Central Florida (9/20 at 12:00 p.m.) and Toledo (9/27 at 6:30 p.m.). The Orangemen’s home football schedule also features games against Notre Dame (Dec. 6) and BIG EAST foes Boston College (Oct. 18), Temple (Nov. 8) and West Virginia (Nov. 22).
Football season tickets can be purchased at the Carrier Dome Box office (888-DOMETIX) or online at www.dometix.com. Individual game tickets and ticket packages for the 2003 home football season are also available at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B), via telephone and online (www.dometix.com).
The “Triple Threat” ticket package includes games against Boston College, West Virginia, and Notre Dame for $125 per package. Approximately 2,000 SU football "Triple Threat" ticket packages have been purchased. A limited number of the three-game ticket package is still available.
SU fans who purchase a 2003 football regular season adult ticket will be rewarded with a $15 discount when they purchase 2003-04 season tickets to watch the defending national champion Orangemen basketball team. Adult single-game tickets for BIG EAST games are $30 and $26 for non-conference opponents (except Notre Dame). Youth tickets (18 and younger, third level only) are $17 and $12 respectively, except for the Central Florida game which is “Youth Day” and all youth tickets are only $6. The individual game ticket for Notre Dame will not be available.
SU is offering several ticket options this season, including specially-priced upper level end zone seats. Season tickets in these sections are $150 and individual game tickets range from $20-$25 per game depending upon the game.
Family Packs are available for every game except Notre Dame. These packages include two adult tickets, two youth tickets, a $5 concessions coupon, and a parking pass. The Gridiron Family Pack available for non-conference opponents (Louisville, Central Florida and Toledo) is $65. The BIG EAST Family Pack costs $81, a $21 savings.
