Orangemen Cross Country Defeats Binghamton; Women Lose To Bearcats

McNeil's and Muldoon's times were less than .20 seconds apart, with McNeil crossing the line first at 26:31.74, and Muldoon registering a time of 26:31.93. Freshman Matt Lawson finished fifth with a time of 27:28.65. Freshman Joey Ziminsky finished seventh with a time of 27:40.84, and junior Collin Capano came in eighth in 27:49.84 to round out SU's scorers.
On the women's side, Binghamton took the top three spots to secure the win. Junior Leah Folmsbee , SU's top perfomer, finished fourth in 20:00.00. Freshman Amanda Hicks crossed the line 23 seconds later in sixth place, and sophomore Gabby Charbonneau was just one second behind her. The next four to enter the chute were Bearcats; freshman Katie Simon finished 12th with a time of 20:38.00, and freshman Shelby Perkins came in 14th in 20:44.00 to round out Syracuse's scoring.
SU has two weeks off before it hosts its annual meet, the Orange Classic, on Sept. 27 at 10:00 a.m., at Drumlins Golf Course.
