
Orange Crew Announces 2003-04 Schedule

This fall, SU will open its season at the Stonehurst Invitational on Oct. 12. The Orangemen will row at the Head of the Charles, Oct. 18-19, then two varsity eights will test themselves in the Princeton Chase on Oct. 26. The final test for the freshman crews will be at the Belly of the Carnegie on Nov. 9.
Syracuse will take two trips to Florida for training during the cold months: the Orange will be in Melbourne, Fla., for winter training, Jan. 2-10, and in Miami for spring training, March 5-13.
SU's spring season kicks off on March 27 with a dual race against Boston University on Syracuse's home water, Onondaga Lake. The Orangemen travel to New Jersey to try to reclaim the Ten Eyck Cup from Rutgers on April 10. The following weekend, SU heads to Annapolis, Md., to take on Cornell and Navy in the Goes Cup race. Syracuse's final home meet of the season will be April 24 when it hosts Georgetown and Temple. The last dual race of the spring will be in Hanover, N.H., when the Orange race Dartmouth for the Packard Cup.
Syracuse will participate in the Eastern Sprints on May 16 in Worcester, Mass. The Orangemen will try for the national title at the IRA Regatta in Camden, N.J., June 3-5.
