Orange Cross Country Squads Set for ECAC/IC4A Championships

BRONX, N.Y. - The Syracuse men’s and women’s cross country teams travel to Bronx, N.Y. for the 2004 ECAC/IC4A Championships. Last year, the men finished second in the University Division Race. This year the men will compete in the IC4A Championship Division Race. The women will compete in the ECAC University Division Race, which they finished in fifth last year.
Last year, graduate John Bitok and junior Chris Muldoon led the Orange with third and ninth-place finishes, respectively. Sophomores David Wishart and Matt Lawson took 12th and 23rd, respectively. The top returner competing for the women is senior Leah Folmsbee, who finished in 27th last year. Junior Gabrielle Charbonneau finished 46th last season.
Syracuse will also send seven men and eight women to compete in the Coaches’ Race.
