No. 18/13 Syracuse Wins Three of Four Races Versus No. 12/9 Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. - The No. 18/13 Orangemen varsity eight finished the dual season with a loss to No. 12/9 Dartmouth on Saturday, May 8, in Hanover, N.H. The Big Green raced the 2,000-meter course in 5:24.2, and the Orangemen finished in 5:30.9. With the win, Dartmouth retains possession of the Packard Cup, which it has won every year since 1991.
SU's JV eight won its first race away from home this season, defeating the Big Green by nearly five seconds, 5:40.2 to 5:45.0. The Orangemen's freshman eight remained undefeated with a nearly 10 second victory, 5:35.3 to 5:45.1. In the freshman four race, Syracuse won by open water, 6:23.1 to Dartmouth's 6:41.1.
The Orangemen will now prepare for the Eastern Sprints, which will take place on Sunday, May 16, in Worcester, Mass.
