Freshman Joey Ziminsky (Mt. Kisco, N.Y./Fox Lane High School) competed in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase at the 2004 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships held June 25-27, at the Frank G. Anderson Track & Field Complex at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Ziminsky posted a time of 10:00.44 to place 16th in the event.

The Syracuse University cross country team opens its 2004 season at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn. on Saturday, Sept. 4.
