Cross Country "B" Squads Run In Reif Memorial Friday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Orange cross country teams will compete in the Reif Memorial in Ithaca on Friday. The last time the "B" squads competed was in the UB Open, where both teams finished in third place.
In that event, sophomore Meghan Rowcliffe (19:50.1) was the top finisher for the women, finishing fifth overall, while sophomore Matthew Gervasio (27:30.7) placed ninth for the men.
Five women placed in the top 25 for SU. Sophomore Jillian Kosinsky finished 11th (20:52.9) while senior Gabrielle Charbonneau placed two spots behind her (21:16.8). Junior Kathryn Reintjes (21:50.3) and freshman Lindsey Morel (22:05.4) rounded out the top five.
For the men, junior Chris McDonald (27:59.5) followed Gervasio and finished in 17th. Junior Kevin Wong (28:00.6) finished right after him, and sophomores Matthew Cady (28:24.1) and Tim Waterhouse (28:43.3) rounded out the top five.
This is the last event for the Orange before gearing up for the BIG EAST Championships next Friday.
