Lipton Named Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Ashley Lipton, a member of the Orange tennis team, has been honored as the Syracuse University Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 16.
Lipton, a native of Saratoga, Calif., was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll six times and to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in 2004, 2005 and 2006. She is majoring in broadcast journalism.
Lipton and Syracuse participate at the ITA Regional Championships at Hanover, N.H. from Friday, Oct. 20 to Monday, Oct. 23.
