Seven Players Selected to ITA East Regionals

Seven members of the Syracuse women's tennis team were selected to participate in ITA East Regional tournament, set to take place October 19-22 at Dartmouth College. The tournament consists of 72 players in a singles draw, with 32 other players in a qualifiers pool and 11 on a wait list. Each team in the region will also be represented in a doubles draw.
Junior Victoria Vaynberg is in the singles main draw, while juniors Olga Votavova and Catherine Zawadzki are both singles qualifiers. Senior Katie Bramante was selected to the singles wait list, but will not compete due to injury. Seniors Ashley Lipton and Carolina Huignard, who are 3-2 playing alongside one another this fall, will team up in the doubles draw; as will Votavova and sophomore Maria Vasilyeva.
