Football Season Kicks Off with BIG EAST Media Day

The BIG EAST Conference hosted its annual football media day in Newport, Rhode Island, signaling the start of the 2006 season. Orange head coach Greg Robinson and seniors Perry Patterson, Kelvin Smith, Jerry Mackey and Brendan Carney represented Syracuse at the annual league event. The 2006 Syracuse Orange report for training camp on Sunday, August 6 and kickoff the season on Saturday, September 2. Then the team will host Iowa in the Carrier Dome for the home opener on Sept. 9.
