Orange Ties Cincinnati In First-Ever Meeting

Cincinnati, Ohio- The Syracuse women’s soccer team tied Cincinnati, 0-0, in the first ever meeting between the two schools. The scoreless draw was the second-consecutive for the Orange and its first in BIG EAST play this season. Freshman goalie Eliza Bennett-Hattan made a career-high 10 saves, breaking her previous high of nine which she set earlier this week against Dartmouth. Bennett-Hattan now has three shutouts on the season and has not been scored on in 221:44.
The Orange (1-8-3, 0-3-1 BIG EAST) faces another BIG EAST newcomer for the first time when it visits Louisville (8-1-1, 3-1-0 BIG EAST) on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Cardinals defeated St. John’s Friday, 2-1.
