Princeton, N.J. – Five different Syracuse distance runner earned IC4A/ECAC Championship qualifying times at the John Jacobs Distance Carnival.

Princeton, N.J. – Five different Syracuse distance runner earned IC4A/ECAC Championship qualifying times at the John Jacobs Distance Carnival.
In the 5,000m run, both junior Liz Cufari and senior Amanda Hicks posted ECAC qualifying times. Cufari placed fourth in the event with a time of 17:16.56. Hicks finished closely behind, placing seventh with a mark of 17:24.83.
Senior Katie Simon and freshman Lynne Mundy qualified for the ECAC Championship in the 3,000m steeplechase. Simon placed third in the event with a time of 10:51.71 while Mundy finished fifth with a mark of 10:54.54.
Freshman Daniel Busby led the Orange men’s team. Busby placed sixth in the 5,000m run with an IC4A-qualifying mark of 14:35.76.
Two other Orange student-athletes recorded victories in the John Jacobs Collegiate Invitational. Freshman Maegan Krifchin won the 1,500m run with a mark of 4:42.03 while freshman Brad Miller duplicated the feat on the men’s side. Miller won the event with a time of 4:05.65.
The Orange returns to action on Friday, competing in the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
