In Syracuse's first game at Colgate, freshman forward Megan Skelly electrified the crowd by scoring Syracuse’s landmark first goal just nine seconds into its first contest in a 4-3 loss. Freshman winger Janelle Malcolm tallied SU’s other two goals against the Raiders.

Junior netminder Lucy Schoedel made a superb 41 saves on Friday evening to keep SU within striking distance. Wisconsin held onto a 1-0 lead midway through the third quarter, and emerged victorious 3-0 in the end. The Ithaca, N.Y. native has made 99 saves in eight periods of play.
Freshman Steph Jones, a 5’6 goaltender from Thornhill, Ontario, is an integral part of the Syracuse goaltending trio. Jones earned a .935 save percentage with Markham-Stoufville and compiled a 23-5-3 record, including 15 shutouts.
In Saturday evening’s game at Wisconsin, Jones manned the net in the third period and turned away nine Badgers’ shots.
