
Mark Named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Graduate Sheron Mark, a member of the women’s indoor track & field team, is the Syracuse University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 25.
Mark, who hails from Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago, is a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star and has been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll each semester at Syracuse. She is majoring in chemical engineering.
Mark earned All-BIG EAST honors on Sunday after a third-place finish and distance of 13.04m in the triple jump. Her performance eclipses the Orange school record of 12.94m she established in 2005.
The Orange men and women’s indoor track & field teams embark on a two-week hiatus before the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 in Boston, Mass.
