SYRACUSE – The Syracuse University women's rowing team remains on its home water to host Pennsylvania and Northeastern for the Orange Cup at the James A. Ten Eyck Boathouse located at Onondaga Lake Outlet in Longbranch Park on Saturday, April 11.

The Orange Cup has been awarded to the Syracuse-Pennsylvania-Northeastern race winning since 1979. The Orange has won the cup five times, including three consecutive from 2005-03. Northeastern has won the cup a series-best 15 times, including the last three. Penn has nine wins to its credit.
SU, Penn and Northeastern will battle in the varsity eight (Orange Cup), second varsity eight, varsity four and novice eight races. SU and Penn will also compete in the second varsity four and novice four heats.
Syracuse is coming off a strong showing last weekend against Yale and Cornell. The Orange placed second in three races and improved on all of its times. Penn finished third with 141 team points at the inaugural Dale England Cup its last time out. Northeastern lost the opening race of its 2009 regatta season to Dartmouth while besting Rhode Island and Boston College last Saturday.
