HANOVER, N.H. -- Syracuse goes for its 13th win of the season when it plays its final regular-season contest of the 2009 season on Tuesday at Dartmouth at 3 p.m. in Hanover, N.H. The Orange has won 13 games twice since the program began in 1998. Syracuse won 13 contests for the first time in 2007 before winning a school-record 18 games last season.
Tuesday's game will be broadcast live on WJPZ 89.1FM in the Syracuse area and on Orange All Access on SUathletics.com. Subscriptions for Orange All Access are available at yearly ($79.95), monthly ($9.95) and daily ($5.95) rates.
SYRACUSE-DARTMOUTH SERIES
The meeting between Syracuse and Dartmouth is the 11th time the two schools have faced each other. The Big Green holds the advantage in the series, 6-4. Both teams have been ranked in the top 20 of the coaches poll in all nine of the meetings.The home team is 9-1 in the series.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth's offense is led by Kat Collins, who has registered 50 points on 37 goals and 13 assists in 14 games this season. She is one of four Big Green players who has netted 20 or more goals, which includes Katherine Chiusano. Chiusano has dished out a team-best 22 assists in addtion to scoring 24 goals. Julie Wadland has started all 14 games in goal for Dartmouth. She has a 9.29 goals-against average and a .452 save percentage.
ABOUT TODAY'S GAME
Syracuse will face its second opponent this season from the Ivy League. The Orange defeated Cornell, 11-8, in the Carrier Dome earlier this season ... Senior Katie Rowan needs five more points to climb to fifth place on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring list. She enters today's game with 374 career points and trails Temple's Gail Cummings, who tallied 378 points from 1984-88 ... Sophomore Liz Hogan needs one more victory to become Syracuse's all-time winningest goalkeeper. She 30 victories in her career, tying her with Carla Gigon 2000-03) for the most wins for a goalkeeper.
