
SU Tops BIG EAST with 30 Selections

The Syracuse women's rowing 30 BIG EAST All-Academic selections was second most in the league. Sara Stapp, a 2009 graduate with a degree in photography, earned the degree for the fourth time. Stapp rowed in the 4-seat of the second varsity eight at the BIG EAST Championship and Eastern Sprints. Ildiko Toth, Lydia Wong, Christine DePompeo, Kathryn Lynch, Chelsea Macpherson, Ann Van Houten and Heidi Bulk earned the accolade for the third time. Kate Todd, Sydney Axson, Julia Ruskin, Kelsey Wiemer, Catherin Wilcox, Mandy DeHaven, Alex Pines, Mikela Almeida, Brandis Arcadia, Allison Ehrke and Jacque Lee were two-time honorees. Liz Henwood, Karly Lyons, Susan Groff, Rachael Ogundiran, Lauren Silverstein, Tiffany Macon, Natalie McCrudden, Erika Merola, Keriann Miller, Tija Bross and Emma Karpowicz each earned the accolade for the first time.
The Orange finished second at the BIG EAST Championship with 97 points.
