SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's ice hockey team heads to Potsdam, N.Y. this Friday for a rematch with Clarkson, after the two teams met for the first time last Friday in Syracuse. The puck will drop on Friday, November 12 at 3 p.m. at the Cheel Arena.
The Clarkson Series
Syracuse and Clarkson went head-to-head for the first time last Friday (Nov. 5) at Tennity Ice Pavilion. The Golden Knights walked away with a 3-2 victory against the Orange. Sophomore Isabel Menard tallied both of SU's goals to give her seven on the season. The two teams played 22:31 of scoreless hockey before Menard put the first goal on the board. With 1:23 remaining in regulation and Clarkson leading 3-1, she took the puck the length of the ice, beating every Golden Knight defender, to bring the Orange within one. SU fired three shots on goal in the last minute, but could not manage the game-tying goal. Goaltender Kallie Billadeau played all 60 minutes in net and recorded 21 saves.
