
Syracuse Falls to Princeton, 6-1

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Orange (6-2) dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 63 Princeton (6-3) on Sunday afternoon in Jadwin Gym. The Tigers swept the doubles point and claimed five out of six singles matches to earn the victory.
Senior transfer Eleanor Peters won the lone match for the Orange, improving her singles record to a team-best 7-1 with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles.
More new pairings were employed in doubles play as sophomore Emily Harman and senior Chelsea Jones combined at the No. 1 slot, moving to 2-1 on the season as a pair. Freshman CC Sardinha and junior Simone Kalhorn combined again at No. 2 doubles while sophomore Alessondra Parra entered the mix at No. 3 doubles, teaming with Peters for the first time this seson.
The Orange returns to the court against in-state foe Niagara on Friday, February 26 at 5 p.m. in Niagara, N.Y.
