
Dove and Hogan Earn BIG EAST Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Christina Dove is the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week announced on Monday, March 22. In addition, junior goalkeeper Liz Hogan has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll. It is Dove's second Offensive Player of the Week award of the season and the third of her career, while Hogan is making her first appearance on the Honor roll this season.
Dove tallied a total of 14 points on 10 goals and four assists in two games last week. She recorded a career-high nine points in the Orange's 18-10 victory against No. 10 Towson. Dove recorded her 200th career goal in the win, making her the second player in school history and 39th Division I player to score 200 goals in her career. Against Northwestern, Dove led Syracuse with five points on four goals and an assist. She has scored at least one goal in 46 consecutive games, which is tied for the third-longest streak in the nation. Dove is the active Division I leader in points (269) and goals (206).
Hogan tied her career high with 14 saves in the victory against Towson. Against Northwestern, she had 11 saves, increasing her career total of double figure saves games to 15. Hogan also had two caused turnovers against the Wildcats. This season Hogan has an 8.90 goals-against average and is tied for third on the team with nine ground balls.
The Orange is back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Dartmouth at 3 p.m. at Coyne Field. Admission is free of charge.
