
Orange Looks To Return to Winning Ways

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 7 Syracuse tries to return its winning ways when it takes on Vermont on Monday, March 8, at 1 p.m. in Jacksonville, Fla. This marks the Orange's third game in the history of the program in the state of Florida. Syracuse enters Monday's game with a record of 2-1, while Vermont is 0-1 this season.
A LOOK AT TODAY'S GAME
Today's meeting will mark the first meeting between the two schools… The Catamounts come into Monday's game with a record of 0-1… This marks the second time in program history that the Orange will play in the state of Florida. During the 2000 season, Syracuse defeated Notre Dame, 9-3, in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
TUMOLO OFF TO A FAST START
Freshman Michelle Tumolo has hit the ground running for the Syracuse women's lacrosse team. Tumolo currently ranks third in the nation in assists (11). She leads the team in assists and points (16). The last time a freshman led the Orange in scoring was in 2006 when Katie Rowan accomplished the feat.
DOVE CONTINUES TO CLIMB THE CHARTS
Senior Christina Dove is continuing to add on to her legacy as one of the most prolific scorers in Syracuse history in her final season as an Orange. Dove is the current NCAA Division I active career goals (192) and points (250) leader. With eight more goals, she would become the second Orange and 39th Division I player to tally 200 goals in their career. In addition, Dove has a streak of 43 consecutive games with a goal, which ranks third in the nation.
