
Hogan Earns BIG EAST Honor

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Syracuse junior Liz Hogan has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll released on Monday, April 12 for her performance in two games last week. Hogan recorded 14 saves while allowing just eight goals in two games. It marks the second time she has earned a spot on the Honor Roll this season.
Hogan made four saves in the Orange's 11-2 win against Connecticut, giving up one goal in each half. She also had four ground balls and two caused turnovers against the Huskies. At Notre Dame, Hogan made 10 saves while shutting out the Fighting Irish in the second half. In addition, she caused three turnovers and picked up two ground balls. This season, Hogan has held opponents to two goals or less in a half six times. She ranks second in the BIG EAST in goals-against average (9.04) and fourth in save percentage (.476).
Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome for a pair of BIG EAST games this weekend. The Orange hosts Loyola on Friday at 6 p.m. and Villanova on Sunday at 1 p.m.
