Women’s Rowing Travels to Penn on Saturday for Orange Challenge Cup

PHILADELPHIA – The Syracuse University women's rowing team returns to action this Saturday, vying for the Orange Challenge Cup against Pennsylvania and Northeastern. All the races will take place on the Schuylkill River's race course.
The varsity eight race will be the second of the day, taking place at 9:50 a.m. after the third varsity goes at 9:30. The second varsity eight will race at 10:10, followed at 10:30 by the first varsity four. The second varsity four boats will conclude the day, going off at 10:50.
Saturday's races will be broadcast so that people can hear it from their phone or computer. In order to hear the race calls, which will go up at approximately 9:20 a.m., either click here or call 605-715-4900 (passcode 575719#).
(A spectator bus will leave campus from 38th and Locust at 9 a.m.; it will stop at the boathouse and then proceed to the stands for viewing).
Syracuse hosted and won last year's race, held on Onondaga Lake, snapping a three-year win streak by Northeastern's varsity 8.
