
Orange Places Five on All-Region Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Five Syracuse players have been selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Northeast Region Team announced on Friday, May 28. Seniors Christina Dove and Halley Quillinan and juniors Liz Hogan and Tee Ladouceur earned first-team honors, while freshman Michelle Tumolo was selected to the second team. Syracuse's four first-team honorees were the most for any school in the region.
Dove makes her third appearance on the All-Region First Team after leading the Orange in scoring (94 pts.) and goals (67). She earned the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year award and was a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team. Dove ranks third in the nation in points and sixth in goals. She became the 23rd player in Division I history to score 300 career points this season and currently ranks 11th in career goals and 12th in career points on the Division I all-time scoring list. She is the active leader in both categories.
Quillinan has contributed to the Orange's success on both ends of the field. She has recorded 59 points (48g, 11a) this season. On the defensive end, she has caused a team-high 34 turnovers. Quillinan, who was also selected to the All-BIG EAST Second Team, also leads the squad with 47 draw controls and ranks second on the team with 36 ground balls. Quillinan is just the third player in school history to earn All-Region First Team honors all four years.
Hogan set single-season and career records for saves and ground balls this season. She leads the nation in saves (202) and is second in save percentage (.532). Hogan, who earns All-Region First Team honors for the third consecutive season, earned the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year award and was a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team. She became Syracuse's career leader in saves in the Orange's NCAA Tournament first-round win against Georgetown. She now has 509 saves in her career. Hogan leads the team with 59 ground balls and ranks second with 25 caused turnovers.
Ladouceur makes her first appearance on the All-Region First Team this season after recording career highs in points (88), goals (43) and assists (45). Her 88 points are the fifth-highest single-season total in school history, while her 45 assists rank third on the single-season record list. In the latest NCAA statistics, Ladouceur ranks in the top 10 in the nation in three categories. She is second in assists, sixth in points and eighth in assists per game (2.14).
Tumolo has put together the most productive freshman campaign in school history. She is Syracuse's third-leading scorer with 72 points and ranks second in assists with 37. Both are the highest single-season totals for a freshman in program history. Tumolo is fourth on Syracuse's single-season record list for assists and is 10th on the single-season scoring list.
These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-America teams, which will be announced on Monday, May 31.
