Goodale to Appear on Today Show

Former Syracuse rower Anna Goodale '05, who is a five-time member of the USA national team and defending world champion in the women's eight event, will appear on the Weekend Today Show this Saturday, July 10 at 8:30 a.m. Goodale helped the USA rowing team to earn a gold medal in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. A 2005 graduate, Goodale was recognized as a three-time All-American during her career at Syracuse. She earned first-team honors in 2003 and 2005 and was named to the second team in 2004. Goodale was also named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Mid-Atlantic Region All-American First Team her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
Goodale also received numerous academic honors during her four years at SU. She was recognized as the 2005 Orange Plus Scholar Athlete of the Year and she received the Soladay Award, the most prestigious award given to a student-athlete by the Department of Athletics. She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District I Second Team in 2005 and earned the CRCA National Scholar Athlete Award on three occasions.
