SYRACUSE, N.Y. - After snapping a five-game skid with a pair of wins at Providence on Thursday, the Orange returns home to host Villanova in a three-game weekend series on Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17. Action begins on Saturday with a doubleheader set for 12 p.m. The squads will face off in the series finale on Sunday at noon. All three games will be played at the SU Softball Stadium on Syracuse's South Campus. Live audio feeds will be provided by Orange All-Access.
Syracuse Notes
• Syracuse heads into the weekend series with a 26-10 overall record and a 5-5 mark in the BIG EAST.
• The Orange snapped a five-game skid and got back into the win column by sweeping a doubleheader at Providence on April 14. SU squeezed out a 10-9 victory in game one and earned a decisive 9-1 win in game two.
• Lacey Kohl blasted two homers in game two at Providence on April 14, marking her first career multi-homerun outing. She now has a team-best-tying nine long balls on the season.
• With a team-best nine homeruns so far this season, second baseman Stephanie Watts is just two long balls away from matching her career total (11). Watts also leads the team in runs scored (35).
• Outfielder Lisaira Daniels leads the team in hits (41), stolen bases (15), and is tied for first with three triples on the season.
• Hallie Gibbs is currently ranked 18th in the nation with a team-high 38 RBI to date.
• Pitchers Jenna Caira (17-8) and Stacy Kuwik (9-1) have been strong on the mound for the Orange, boasting 1.89 and 2.64 ERAs, respectively.

• Kristi Burlin and Jamie O'Hara have provided a spark for the Villanova offense this season. Burlin is batting .336 with a team-best seven homeruns and 22 RBI. O'Hara boasts a .315 average and leads the team in hits (39) and stolen bases (12).
