
Orange Sweeps BIG EAST Weekly Awards

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Syracuse seniors Tee Ladouceur and Liz Hogan are the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week after leading the Orange to three victories last week. Ladouceur is the Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, while Hogan earns the Defensive Player of the Week honor for the third time in the last four weeks and the fifth time in her career.
Ladouceur totaled 15 points on six goals and nine assists in three games last week. After posting four points against Cornell, Ladouceur had two goals and an assist in Syracuse's victory against No. 7 Loyola. She produced the most prolific offensive performance of her career in the Orange's win against Villanova. Ladouceur scored three goals and dished out five assists for a career-high eight points. She played a part in eight of Syracuse's first 10 goals as the Orange recorded a 20-6 victory and clinched a share of the BIG EAST regular-season title.
This season, Ladouceur is Syracuse's leading goal scorer with 34 and ranks second on the team in scoring with 51 points. She currently ranks sixth on the Orange's all-time scoring list (176 pts.). In addition, Ladouceur is fourth in career assists (80) and 10th in career goals (96).
Hogan recorded 28 saves, five ground balls and three caused turnovers in Syracuse's three wins last week. She made 12 saves, picked up three ground balls and caused a turnover against Cornell. After making six saves against Loyola, Hogan posted 10 saves, a ground ball and two caused turnovers while allowing just one goal in 39 minutes of action against Villanova.
Syracuse's all-time leader in saves (654), Hogan has reached double figures in saves in six games this season. She leads the BIG EAST and ranks ninth in the nation with a .489 save percentage.
The 15th-ranked Orange takes on No. 9 Loyola in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament on Thursday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m. The winner of that game faces the winner of the second semifinal between Georgetown-Notre Dame in the championship game on Saturday, May 7 at 1 p.m.
