Trio Earns Academic All-District Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Field hockey senior forward Lindsey Conrad, women's lacrosse goalkeeper Liz Hogan and ice hockey senior forward Stefanie Marty have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District I Women's At-Large Second Team as announced by the College Sports Information Director of America (CoSIDA).
Conrad and Marty are making their second consecutive appearance on the All-District Second Team, while Hogan earns the honor for the first time in her career.
The 2010 BIG EAST Championship Most Outstanding Player, Conrad ended her career as Syracuse's all-time leading goal scorer (47) and third-leading scorer (112 pts.). She was a 2010 All-Mideast Region and All-BIG EAST Second Team honoree and was selected to participate in the NFHCA Division I Senior Game. Conrad netted nine goals and 18 points on the season.
Hogan was voted to the All-BIG EAST First Team for the fourth consecutive season after leading the league and ranking 12th in the nation in save percentage. She reached double figures in saves in six games in 2011. The 2010 IWLCA Goalkeeper of the Year, Hogan is Syracuse's all-time leader in saves (660) and ground balls (181). She also holds the BIG EAST record for saves in conference games with 253.
Marty tallied 17 points on eight goals and nine assists in 2011 and helped the Orange to the finals of the College Hockey America (CHA) Tournament at the Tennity Ice Pavilion. She finished her career with 34 goals and 36 assists. In 2010, Marty earned All-CHA Second Team honors and became Syracuse's first Winter Olympian as a member of the Swiss National Team.
To be eligible for the Academic All-America program, student-athletes must achieve sophomore standing at their current school and possess a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3. Participants in bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis and water polo are eligible for the women's at-large program.
