WASHINGTON, D.C. – Syracuse sophomore Michelle Tumolo was named to the BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse All-Tournament team following the championship game on Saturday, May 7. Tumolo led the Orange with three goals in a one-goal loss to eventual champion Loyola in the semifinals on Thursday.

Tumolo sparked Syracuse's second half comeback attempt against the Greyhounds. With Syracuse trailing, 10-4, Tumolo scored on a free position with 14:53 remaining. That goal started the Orange on a 5-1 scoring run that cut Loyola's lead to 12-9 at the 3:26 mark. Following a Greyhounds' goal, Tumolo scored her third goal of the day with 1:26 left to play, bringing the Orange within two at 12-10. Syracuse would score one more goal, but turned the ball over on its final possession as Loyola advanced to the tournament final.

This season, Tumolo leads the Orange in scoring with 63 points. In the latest NCAA statistics, she ranks 11th in the nation in assists (33) and assists per game (1.83).
