NEW ORLEANS – For the second straight season, the Syracuse men's track and field team is amongst the top academic squads in the nation. The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Wednesday that SU men are one of 90 institutions earning All-Academic team status for the track and field seasons.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Wednesday that SU men are one of 90 institutions earning All-Academic team status for the track and field seasons.
To receive academic distinction, a team must collectively record a grade point average of 3.00 of better. The Orange, which compiled a team GPA of 3.07, are one of seven BIG EAST teams included on the list, while Pat Dupont and Sean Keefe earned individual USTFCCCA recognition for their academic standing last week with GPAs of 3.25 or better.
The USTFCCCA will announce the women's All-Academic team selections on Thursday, August 11. The SU women placed 10 student-athletes on the USTFCCCA All-Academic honor list last week.
