Syracuse Unviersity has announced that former SU Women's rowing alum Emme '85, will co-chair SU's homecoming and reunion celebration, Orange Central. Emme, a graduate of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, is a nationally recognized supermodel, author, fashion designer, motivational speaker and advocate for positive self esteem and body image.
In addition to a successful QVC clothing line, Emme has been featured in magazines such as Glamour, Ladies Home Journal and People. Before being selected as one of the Orange Central co-chairs, Emme was inducted into SU's Orange Plus Hall of Fame in 1994 for her outstanding contributions to Syracuse athletics and women's rowing.
Orange Central 2011 will take place homecoming weekend, November 10-13 and will bring together families, students and SU alum for a weekend reunion, featuring a variety of campus activities. The Orange Circle Awards will also be held during Orange Central on Friday evening, to honor members of the SU community for doing extrodinary things for others.
