Women's Rowing to Compete at Home

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse men's and women's rowing teams will host their first and only home regatta of the season, the Syracuse Invitational, on Saturday at the James A. Ten Eyck Boathouse on the Onondaga Lake Outlet.
The Syracuse Invitational will be a 3-mile head race, with individual boats being released at intervals and racing against the clock. The course begins north of Onondaga Lake and the boathouse on the Seneca River, making its way into the outlet and finishing under the Long Branch Bridge just past the Ten Eyck Boathouse.
For the women, racing begins at 10:05 a.m. The final flight, the third varsity eight/novice eight rerow is scheduled for 11:20 a.m.
Competing against the Orange on its home waters will be crews from Buffalo, Colgate and Cornell. There will be racing in men's and women's varsity fours (two flights each) and men's and women's third varsity eight/novice eight (including lightweight crews from Cornell).
