SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse has its final tune up for the 2012-13 campaign on Sunday, Nov. 4 when it hosts Bloomsburg in an exhibition game in the Carrier Dome. The contest will tip off at 4 p.m.
Tickets for Sunday's exhibition game are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). The game will be broadcast on Time Warner Sports Cable and SNY. Fans not in attendance can listen to the action on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network and its flagship TK99 (99.5 FM). Live video and audio will be available on Orange All Access on SUathletics.com. Subscriptions to Orange All Access are available at daily, monthly and yearly rates.
ORANGE TOPS PACE
Syracuse defeated Pace, 99-63, in its exhibition opener on Thursday, Nov. 1 in the Carrier Dome. Six different players reached double figures in scoring, led by James Southerland's 18 points.
Pace scored the first basket of the game, but the Orange responded with a 14-0 scoring run on its way to building a 25-point advantage with nine minutes left in the first half. Brandon Triche closed out the first half with two free throws as SU took a 55-29 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Orange continued to stretch its lead in the second half as Southerland tallied 11 of his 18 points after intermission.
Sophomore Michael Carter-Williams and junior C.J. Fair added 16 points apiece, while junior Baye Moussa Keita recorded 14 points. Triche and freshman DaJuan Coleman finished with 11 points each.
A CLOSER LOOK AT BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg comes to the Carrier Dome for its second exhibition game. The Huskies lost at Towson, 87-65, on Thursday.
Junior Dontahe Jordan was named to the Basketball Times Division II Preseason All-America Team. He has led the Huskies in scoring the past two seasons. He was also selected to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East preseason team. Jordan averaged 15.9 points per game in 2011-12.
John Sanow is in his seventh season at Bloomsburg. Last season he led the Huskies to a 19-9 record and a share of the PSAC Eastern title. Bloomsburg competed in the PSAC playoffs for the first time in 10 seasons. Sanow was named the PSAC Eastern Division's Coach of the Year.
